Charles and Ray Eames designed Le Chaise in 1948 for a Museum of Modern Art competition, but it is only since 1991 that small quantities of the design have been in serial production.

Le Chaise is suitable for both sitting and lying on – it’s organic shape being inspired by ‘Floating Figure’, a sculpture by Gaston Lachaise. It has long been established as an icon of organic design. Our products are reproduced to the style of the original design.

This Eames inspired Chaise chair is made of a fibreglass body supported on 5 polished steel legs on a walnut base and gives the impression that the chair is almost floating.

This chair looks fantastic and is a very unusual piece of furniture at a fraction of the price of the originals and represents a true bargain for those seeking something a little different.
